Meet the founder

Jenna van belkum

I grew up in a private game reserve within the Greater Kruger, surrounded by untamed landscapes and immersed in the quiet rhythms of the natural world. This deep connection to nature shaped how I view health, beauty, and our place within the greater cycles of life.

Tallow, often discarded despite its nutrient density and healing properties, became a symbol of reverence for me. I felt called to give value to every part of the animal, to honour its life fully, and to share the gifts it offers.

With this philosophy at heart, I began creating skincare using whole, ancestral ingredients - led by tallow and supported by nutrient rich local flora and fauna.

As Taura grows, my vision is to expand our offerings with resins and whole herb infused tallow - always with deep respect for the natural world that sustains us.
